Stress..

1. I'm job hunting... and with a toddler, that isn't exactly the easiest feat. I can't exactly bring my resume in anywhere with a kid on my hip. So online job-shopping it is (which is A LOT less awesome than it's cooler big sister online shoe shopping) and so far - no luck. So if I don't hear anything back by the end of this week I may have an aneurysm.
1.2 Getting a job involves shopping for a day-care. A whole other (EXPENSIVE) stress inducer.

2. I have a 15 month old daughter who is getting bigger and doing ridiculous things like pulling a dresser onto herself. Yeah...that happened. I'm going to be getting grey hair sooner than I thought...

3. Housework. I know that I'm the one who is home all day, but I didn't realize that it meant cleaning up after myself, Sonia AND two grown men. (I'm saying 'grown' very liberally) I'm not the ONLY person here who knows how to use the washing machine or the dishwasher, I assure you....or am I..?

4. Victoria. along with the eight BAZILLION people who seem to be continually everywhere no matter what time it is, there is the getting lost continually, the crazy drivers and the fact that I really don't know all that many people here...

5. A certain person who makes everything worse, and if we talk regularly you know what I'm talking about. I'm sick of beign put down constantly and mocked. I do a lot, even if I don't have a job......so bite me.

6. I don't want to get too into it, but the things going on in my family would be enough for anyone. My uncle was just diagnosed with stage 4 melanoma and so you can imagine what that does to an already semi-crazy bunch.

7. I'm going back to school which means it's a mental AND financial stress....bleh.

And most of all (except #5) ...8. I'm missing my friends and I really don't have a lot of people to talk to about all this. I know I have a handful of wicked friends in Victoria, but they all have jobs and school so I understand that they are all busy. (I'm not mad at you guys, I just miss you!)

Crimes and Cuts; Drinks and Debauchery

Ohhh Thanksgiving.

And I could not have expected anything different from a Legault family event. 100% predictable. Some of the following events have been altered, removed or censored to protect the individuals involved. :) I have used pictures off of the internet to jog your imagination on the missing parts. Enjoy the ride...

After the ferry ride, and a pick up from Jackie, we arrive at our dad's. Hung out for a bit..Jackie and Kyle left back to her place..

...and then we ordered pizza at midnight.

The next day we had a lot of running around to do. Between groceries and numerous other things we had to pick up I'm not sure how we even got to dinner! After a few bevvies dad, Dave and Kyle decide it is time for matching haircuts. So, they all piled into the cab and headed to the hairdressers for matching 'number 2' buzz cuts......

.........and then when she finally got dad home and let him out of the car, we all applauded him. Nice. Finally we got dinner going and the guests started to arrive. Everything was really great. Jackie made epic cranberry sauce (as usual), the turkey was moist and tasty and the yams were delightful. I really enjoyed picking the mashed potatoes out of my hair. Yeah. A food fight. Then dessert. We had a pumpkin pie with whipping cream..which was also nice getting out of my hair. Yeah. Two food fights. After most of the food was cleaned up my lovely niece Shae decided her grandfather should probably have his ear pierced. Nice. So, I found someones earring on the floor and Shae and our friend Maria proceeded to pierce his ear. With the potato in one hand behind his ear and a gaudy rhinestone earring in the other, Shae pierces papa's ear. She screams as she squishes it through...gross.
Once everyone was ready for bed, we went into the room to make our bed.....

......and then once everything was cleaned up, we made other sleeping arrangements for everyone (including dad, Jackie and Kyle at the Sheraton Guildford, nice).

The next day we all told ___, ____ and _____ what they 'missed' the night before, had a few good laughs and went home.
Happy Thanksgiving.

Update...

So my uncle went in today for his biopsy. The procedure went well but they won't have any results until Monday or Tuesday. He's feeling alright and has been givin drugs for his vision so he can read again. Thank you so much to everyone who is praying for him and our family. We really appreciate it.

On a lighter note....

I'm thinking I should start blogging on a weekly basis... my life is pretty over all - I got a call from Christopher today..asking me to convince a girl I have never met to get afternoon drunk (I succeeded..) and Sonia and I had dance party number two tonight to the complete Glee Season One OST. Fun fun. She was singing along with all the girls...and when pokerface came on (the oh oh oh part) she was copying her singing 'uh oh uh oh'. So cute - my little super star.

The end..
